Nature & Oceans of the Americas , was created when Marga López and Marta Fabregas felt the need to take an active role in marine conservation and give an example of sustainable living to participants from around the world .Their passion for the oceans led them to work on various conservation projects around the world and it was there that they realized the need to act locally . They chose Costa Rica because is a country with a high biodiversity and the is no army . They arrived for a common goal:
"To conserve and preserve marine biodiversity.Over time they realized about the importance of living in a sustainable way, apply permaculture practices in their lives and take full responsibility of their actions".
The rapid degradation of marine and terrestrial ecosystems are suffering in the world , led them to create NOA's conservation projects in order to collect data that will help to create management solutions to conserve marine and terrestrial biodiversity of our beautiful blue planet. Then they created NOA's expeditions to give the opportunity to young people and volunteers from around the world to be part of a real-world conservation project and at the same time experience a sustainable lifestyle as well as living a cultural exchange that will let them to make a difference in the world and be part of positive change that needs to experience the planet Earth in order to regain balance with natural resources.
